[x_custom_headline type=”left” level=”h4″ looks_like=”h4″]I remember being in my late teens when I heard a minister state the following: “It’s not what happens to you in life that defeats you. It’s how you respond to what happens to you in life that can defeat you.”[/x_custom_headline]

So as a teenager, hearing these words for the first time, my take away from that statement was that the problems and negative circumstances I would face in life, do not have the ability to defeat me, unless I handle the situations in the wrong way. And many of us have handled some of the attacks of the enemy in the wrong way, and only prolonged the pain of the problem, instead of eliminating it. And at times, our own words, attitude and actions served to escalate the situation, instead of defusing it.

So let’s learn what the Bible says about defeating the enemy, and turning our current situations around, according to the Word of God.

Never forget that Jesus is our example in everything. He faced extreme pressure, persecution, rejection, and various other attacks of the enemy. And beyond that, He faced something else that you and I will never face. He faced the cross, the shame of the cross, and the pain and suffering of the cross, to bear our sin, and to free us from Satan and the kingdom of darkness. Here is what the Bible says about this:

[x_blockquote cite=”Hebrews 12:2 KJV” type=”left”]“Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.”[/x_blockquote]

How could Jesus endure the cross and the shame with joy? Because He knew how it was going to turn out. You see, we can endure anything as long as we know the final outcome.

So where do you find out the final outcome? By spending time, not only reading the Word of God regularly, but studying the Word of God as well, to discover what God says about us and our situation. Whether your problems are health related, or financial shortage, relationship issues, or the stress of living in the last days, God’s Word has your answer.

[highlight]And did you notice that Jesus was focused on the joy of the final outcome, and not His current pain?[/highlight] You see, if you will build your faith in what God’s Word says about your situation, then your faith will produce the breakthrough you need to have.

You have to become fully convinced that God will calm the storms of your life, and that He will turn your financial crisis into a financial miracle! You must be persuaded that He will turn your sickness into a great healing testimony, and turn a satanic attack against your life into a great victory. And that when you believe the Word of God in your heart, and speak to the mountain of adversity that you are facing, telling it to be removed and cast into the sea, it will obey you.

But to get to this point, you must be feeding continually on the good Word of God.

Otherwise your outlook will be affected, and you will become depressed and discouraged, and most likely give up and quit.

[x_blockquote cite=”Proverbs 12:25 KJV” type=”left”]“Heaviness in the heart of man maketh it stoop: but a good word maketh it glad.”[/x_blockquote]

To turn your situation around you must first change the source of your information, and start looking for a good Word that will make you glad and produce hope in your heart.

When you discover the promises of God’s Word, you will find that He wants to turn your sorrow and mourning into joy, and your grief into gladness.

[highlight]Today it may seem as though you are in a no-win, hopeless situation. But faith in God’s Word can completely turn that around for you. You have been bought with the price of the Blood of Jesus. And Blood bought believers have a covenant with God, and should live their lives in great expectation that according to the Word of God, no matter what we face in life, God can turn it around today.[/highlight]
